Let me share with you what worked for me in 2024. These are five ways to start strong as an entrepreneur in 2025.
So, in October was on a train from Medina to Makkah with my brother, and
he asked me, why do we go to school?
I said, Well, we go to school to learn, and then get a job so we can get money.
He said, so the entire idea of going to school is so that you can get money. However, in school, they never teach us how to make money.
I said Yes! They teach us, algebra, geometry, accounting etc. and all these stuffs are needed, but we rarely used them. Cut the story short.
In 2024, I decided to find a way to make money for me and for my family.
I am going to share this experience or what works for me so that you can also make money for yourself and your family. I used works intentionally because it is still ongoing.
If you have been dreaming of starting your business, there is no better time than now. Are you looking into with entrepreneurship? Or looking to reignite your passion, I promise you with these five steps will help you take meaningful actions towards your goal. It actually worked for me last year and hopefully it will work for you.
1- You have to set a clear goal and write it down.
Why is this important? Goals give you direction and purpose for all your efforts; without them, you risk wandering and losing motivation. My example is back in 2020 to 2023 I didn’t have a specific goal; I just created content so I can make money on YouTube without any purpose. Although we got a lot of followership, we got a lot of subscribers and all that. But because we don’t have a specific goal, we couldn’t achieve what we intended to, we’re not making any money, and we were just producing content here and there. We don’t know what specific topics we’re going to focus on. This lack of a particular goal cost me millions; however, I learned so many things in the process. So, I don’t want you to go through the same experience that I had; that is why I’m writing this article for you to learn from my experience.
What do you need to do: Use the SMART criteria when setting a goal; that is, it should be Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. Write these goals down, make them, or keep them visible as a daily reminder of what you are working towards. For example, instead of saying, “I want to start a business,” say, “I want to start a handmade candle business by launching an online store in the next six months.” You see, breaking down the goal into smaller milestones will make it feel more achievable.
2- You should learn a new skill or polish an already existing one.
Why is this important? In today’s competitive world, skills are your strongest asset. They allow you to stand out and adapt to challenges as they arise. You have several places where you can learn new skills. For example, you could learn them from Udemy, Chegg, and other online platforms. We here on Arewaworld also created courses for people who want to learn self-mastery, wealth-mastery, and self-transformation. You can go check them out.
What do you need to do right now? Identify a skill gap that’s holding you back and commit to improving it. For example, if you want to learn, or if you want to start an e-commerce business, learning website design, and social media marketing could give you a major advantage. By the way, don’t miss our workshop which is designed to help entrepreneurs like you. It will be online in February, and we will have a live session somewhere in March.
3- You should learn to network like a pro; network, connections can open doors you would never imagine are there.
Entrepreneurship is not a solo journey; networks are very important simply because you get to create partnerships, mentorships, and new opportunities that you even don’t know you can have. Make it a goal to attend at least one networking event this month (our workshop in February is a good start). Don’t forget about the online platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter, or industry-specific forums. There you can meet mentors who can help you grow as an individual/entrepreneur. Share your stories and journey with other people; ask for advice. You will be surprised by the amount of people who are willing to help you or connect you with the right resources and people.
4- Create a system for success.
Consistency is a secret sauce for successful entrepreneurs; a solid routine ensures that you are making progress every day, so create a system that works for you. I’m telling you this even if you have the best goal, but you don’t have a good system, you cannot achieve your goal. Systems are what make successful businesses thrive in every economy.
What you need to do is design a schedule that prioritizes your most important task. Look at time for planning, learning new skills, personal development, networking, and family time. Make sure it has all the times that you want to work on; find an example of a day in my life below:

As you can see, start your morning with a short workout, review your goals, and dedicate focus hours to tasks that push your business forward. You can use online tools like ChatGPT to help you create these online easily and very fast.
On the other hand, you can email us so that we can share a template with you to follow. If you are interested in my kind of style of planning. I can work with you to create a well-planned system at a very affordable price, just link up with me @arewaworld Or purchase our $20 Success Snapshot Cards, where we personalize your monthly plan together.
The most important key here is to write it down—write everything down—and, if possible, print it or have it in a book. Whereby, when you wake up in the morning, you can read it; you can see it, and that makes it real.
5- Start small; take tiny actions.
The journey of 1000 miles begins with 1 step. I know this is a cliché, but it’s true. Waiting for the perfect moment, setup, or settings can delay your success indefinitely. Take one actionable step today. It could be as simple as drafting a business plan, creating a logo, or reaching out to potential collaborators.
We at Arewaworld are always here to help you; just reach out to us, and we will give you templates that will guide you and help you grow your business. You can find the email below at any time.
It’s not a problem for you to fail. Think of successful businesses like Apple, Amazon, Tesla, SpaceX, etc. They all started small but grew through consistent action and learning from failures along the way. So, it’s fine to start and then fail and then start again, but what matters is for you to continue moving because if you don’t keep moving, that’s the true failure. In order for you to avoid failing, that is why I wrote this article, and if you have reached this point in the post, it means you really want to succeed this year.
