Arewaworld Wishes You a Happy New Year!

A new year is upon us; 2021 rolled by so fast that it is hard to believe it is over. If you have come this far, congratulations! Now is the time for new year resolutions and promises to ourselves and others that we sometimes do not keep. At this time, you start to revaluate decisions you made in 2021 and how they affected your life. This is a reminder to not be so hard on yourself if you don’t feel like you did anything worthwhile in all 365 days of 2021. This is a new opportunity to break more barriers, correct mistakes and make better decisions. Remember to move at your own pace this year and not see the success of your peers as your failure, everyone’s journey is different, and as long as you know where you are headed, you will get there.

You don’t have to wait until a new year to improve your life, but the significance of throwing out bad habits with the old year is a major reason we make new year resolutions. So whatever you do, please stick to your set goals and try to see them through. Strive to be a better version of yourself; always do things that improve the quality of your life. There will be bad days; life is not always rosy. Remember, those good days are on the way when it is hard to breathe, and you will get through your bad days as you always have. No one knows what the new year holds, but hopefully, it is nothing we cannot handle.

With the way things have gone downhill in Nigeria, it is hard to have a positive outlook on anything. So many people lost their loved ones to kidnappers/bandits. Some were thrown into the traumatic situation of being held hostage by kidnappers. Many slept with an eye open for fear of being attacked when they were at their most vulnerable, so surviving to this point is not something to be taken lightly. We can only hope that this year gets progressively better than the last, and if it doesn’t, we will find ways to survive.

This year at Arewaworld Network, we will strive to bring you more captivating, engaging, and impactful stories. Happy new year, and have a productive, interesting 2022.
